Gaven Pedals 10 000KM solo for charity

Gaven Sinclair is on a remarkable mission. In the hopes of fulfilling a lifelong dream, Gaven quit his job and on 15 August left Muizenberg on the adventure of a lifetime, cycling 10.037.19kms from Cape Town to Cairo SOLO, without a support vehicle. He is doing this to raise funds for Missing Children SA.

Gaven departed on his journey with a miniscule R38 in his pocket (yikes) and is surviving solely on the goodness and kindness of others….WHAAAAT? Yes, it is brave, but it is testament to Gaven’s positive spirit. He pedals roughly 70km a day so if you see him on the road, please hoot, wave, blow kisses or better yet stop and wish him well. Food, shelter and basic resources will naturally be welcomed. Unfortunately Gaven’s main sponsor pulled out last minute (meh) leaving him to do this trip on a rather inadequate bike, so we are still in search of a bike sponsorship for Gaven (Cairo is far, so a good set of wheels would make this memorable trip a lot easier to conquer) perhaps a set of panniers too so that he doesn’t have to do this with a rucksack on his back
